Shelf life of Glacier Fondue
Unopened, Glacier Fondue can be stored in the refrigerator for at least four to six weeks beyond the best-before date (BBD).
Frozen (-18°C or colder), Glacier Fondue and even semi-hard cheese can be stored in the freezer for almost an unlimited time. However, it should be noted that with increasing freezing time, noticeable changes in organoleptic properties (taste and consistency) may occur.
Intolerances and allergic reactions
Milk proteins, the very low residual lactose content of aged cheese, and the spice mixture (nutmeg "Myristica fragrans") contained in some varieties can cause intolerances in individual cases.
Cheese fondue, raclette, and aged cheeses are also well tolerated by lactose-intolerant individuals!
Preparation
Open the bag and empty the contents into a caquelon (or a suitable pot). Melt the cheese over medium heat, stirring constantly! Important: After melting, stir vigorously and bring to a boil over high heat! Place the fondue in the caquelon on a rechaud and continue to simmer gently during the meal. Dip bread cubes with a fork, stir, and then... enjoy!
Gourmet Tip: Rub the fondue caquelon with a clove of garlic. Instead of bread, potatoes and broccoli florets are also suitable. We recommend tea or white wine to drink.

Further information
Glacier Fondue is raw, meaning it is not pre-cooked/pre-melted and contains no preservatives or melting salts. For this reason, it is very important that the fondue is extremely well boiled during preparation and before consumption. Only at boiling point can the cornstarch contained in the fondue develop its binding effect.
Since fondue is a viscous mass, the initial formation of bubbles often gives the impression that the boiling point has already been reached. However, the boiling point is only reached when strong bubbling and foaming is visible.
Please also note the preparation tips on the back of the packaging and always ensure that the Glacier Fondue does not fall below boiling temperature during consumption.

We only ship our food products Mon – Thu, in special environmentally friendly cool bags and cool packs.
Naturally, we deliver throughout Europe.

If you choose to pay in advance, simply transfer the amount of your purchase to the bank account specified below. When making the transfer, please ensure that you include your order number in the reference and always transfer separately for different orders.
Once your payment has been received, your delivery will be dispatched immediately. Depending on the bank, it may take 2-5 working days for your payment to reach us. The goods you ordered will remain reserved for you until your payment is received (but no longer than 7 days).
If you return one or more items, the returned merchandise value will be credited back to the bank account from which the transfer was made.
